The redesign of Sleepers bar and restaurant set the precedent in a vibrant food and drink neighbourhood. Situated next to a railway bridge, the concept for Sleepers came from the local context and retro inspirational art with areas discreetly identified for eating and drinking dictated by the use of the clever positioning of contemporary lighting and variations in finishes.

The opportunity to create an entire cafe bar and restaurant concept from concept to completion presented itself. Researching the local history of Hull, we set out to create an interior inspired by The Wilson shipping line, formally the world’s largest private ship-owner specialising in importing and steam shipping. The Wilson concept was perfect for the café bar and restaurant situated on Hull Marina.
Using reproductions of original The Wilson Line artwork to adorn the walls within the restaurant and printed aluminium walls to denote the shipping routes of The Wilson Line, the restaurant not only provides a fanciful dining venue but also celebrates the City’s successful history.
